Spain registers a shortfall of 72,4 % in 2020
In December 2020, Málaga Airport registered another big slump regarding airline passengers. A total of 208,235 passengers were counted in Málaga which represents a minus of 81,7 % compared to December 2019. 5,16 million passengers were registered in Málaga from January to December 2020 which equals a decrease of 74,0 % compared to the same period in 2019.

All Spanish Airports combined reported a shortfall of 72,4 % in 2020. In numbers: 245,25 million passengers were counted in 2019 and only 76,06 million passengers were recorded in 2020.
Note: In December 2020, all Spanish Airports combined registered a total of 3,82 million passengers. Considering that 1,61 million of those passengers visited via international routes, the slump amounts to 86,3 % compared to December 2019.
