Storm Filomena also caused some damages in Malaga

Waves hit the promenade

Yesterday, the waves reached a maximum height of 6,18 metres and they even hit the promenade in Malaga. As you can see, 10 metres of beach are missing, only rocks are left to grace the very front of the beach. This will be an expensive affair in spring, when it is time to refill the beach with new sand again.

Today, the operators of the chiringuitos had to go in with high-pressure cleaners in order to whip their locations back into shape.

The fire brigade was out and about as well, sawing up damaged trees.

PS: Our Torremolinos webcams got a lot of salt onto their lenses which explains the current view. We hope that our partners will clean the lenses today so that we can enjoy a clear view again.
