Heat wave will linger in Spain for another week

Peak temperatures of +- 44 °C

The heat wave is going to last in large parts of Spain (especially in the Andalusian provinces of Huelva, Sevilla, Cordoba, Granada and Jaen) at least until the end of July. The provinces of Sevilla and Cordoba are expecting peak values of +- 44 °C.

Over the next few days, it will be rather sticky at the Costa del Sol. Example Malaga: Little wind and a sea temperature of +- 25 °C won't have a cooling effect at night leading to sweaty and sleepless nights. The daily peak temperatures will range between 31 and 34 °C.

Canary Islands: The north-south divide of Gran Canaria will become particularly apparent next week. While it will be rather cloudy with only +- 25 °C around Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the south will be expecting peak temperatures between 32 and 37 °C.

Over the following days, it will be mostly sunny and summery warm on the Germans' favourite island Mallorca. Palma de Mallorca is looking forward to peak values of 33 - 37 °C. The sea temperature will amount 26,5 °C at Palma's beaches.

Of course, the latest values and ongoing forecasts are available on www.spainweather.es
