Spain - Changeable and fresher as of Sunday

Snowfall in the eastern half

It will be changeable and significantly fresher in large parts of Spain as of Sunday (at the latest). The snow line will drop to 800 metres in the eastern half of Spain. A blanket of snow will cover the altitudes of Castellon, Valencia and Alicante.

The temperatures will drop noticeably in Valencia (city), the peak temperatures will reach only 10 °C on Monday and Tuesday. The probability of precipitation amounts 90 %.

It will be unpleasant on the Balearic Islands, the probability of precipitation will rise from 85 % on Sunday to 100 % on Wednesday. Palma de Mallorca is expecting peak temperatures of not more than 14 °C.

The cold front will hit the Canary Islands on Monday. Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will only reach +- 19 °C and a few drops of rain have been announced.

Clouds will also pull up at the Costa del Sol. There might be some light precipitation here and there, and the peak temperatures will reach between 14 and 16 °C. For Monday, wet snowflakes have been announced in the Axarquia (as of 800 metres) and around Ronda.
