Sierra Nevada continues to upgrade

33 new snow guns for the new season

The Sierra Nevada (Andalusia) is becoming more and more popular. Especially in winter, more and more international guests visit the spectacular ski resort. Frequently, one can hit the slopes in the morning and visit the beach at noon. To improve the snow guarantee and slope quality, 33 new snow guns were installed between the Pradollano valley station and the Borreguiles mid-station. The costs amount to 700,000 euros. The entire ski resort (110 km of slopes) is now equipped with a total of 265 snow guns.

The Sierra Nevada is the highest mountain range of the Iberian Peninsula with 3482 metres. The highest peak is Mulhacén (3482 m), followed by Pico del Veleta (3397 m) and Alcazaba (3392 m).
