Storm alert for Catalonia

Update: RED level warning issued

As forecasted, severe storms will take place in Catalonia tonight. The warning level has been increased from orange to red. More than 100 mm of rain have been announced for coasts between Costa Brava and Costa Daurada. The waves are supposed to reach heights of up to 4 metres. Gusts of +- 70 km/h have been forecasted.

As of Tuesday noon (at the latest), it will slowly but surely get uncomfortable on the Balearic Islands as well. The warning level has been increased from yellow to orange, up to 100 mm of rain have been announced.

On Wednesday, the storms will reach down to Murcia. All updates, of course, on spainweather.es and in our weather ticker.
