Heat alert - The air is burning in the south of Spain

Malaga 42 °C and Valencia 43 °C

The heat will strike relentlessly in the south of Spain over the next few days. Peak temperatures of +- 42 °C have been announced for the province of Malaga. The villages of the Guadalhorce valley (up to the Caminito del Rey) will be particularly affected.

It will get even hotter eastwards. Murcia will be expecting 40 to 42 °C and Xativa (province of Valencia) will be expecting +- 43 °C.

Again, it will get pretty hot in the provinces of Teruel and Zaragoza where peak temperatures of +- 43 °C have been announced. This summer, has been a record summer in said region particularly, turning into Spain's newest heat hotspot.

It will also get hot in Granada, the Alhambra visitors should pack plenty of water. The peak temperatures will reach 40 to 42 °C at the foot of the Sierra Nevada.

It is and remains pleasant in Galicia. Pontevedra, for example, registers peak temperatures of 23 °C to 27 °C. In addition, there is a mix of sun and clouds and some rain.
