Next week's peak temperatures in Spain

40 °C might be reached in the east

Once again, the jet stream is showing signs of weakness. This implies that it will definitely not be too warm in the north-west and light precipitations will take place every now and then. A Coruña is expecting peak temperatures of +- 20 °C and Vigo is expecting +- 21 °C. Sevilla and Badajoz will reach only +- 31 °C.

However, it will be hot in the east of Spain. On Tuesday, Hijar (in the north of the province of Teruel) and Carcaixent (Valencia) might reach +- 40 °C. Murcia will be joining with +- 37 °C on Wednesday.

As of Thursday, it will be significantly fresher in the north and the heat will slowly be settling in the south, at the Costa del Sol. Malaga will be sweating at +- 31 °C, Cartama and Alora are expecting +- 36 °C.
