Costa del Sol - Up to 30 °C & stormy wind as of midnight

Rainy day in Catalonia - Yellow warning level

On yesterday's Thursday, Andujar (province of Jaen, Andalusia) was the warmest place in Spain with 34,4 °C. Xativa obtained 33,3 °C in the autonomy of Valencia. Sa Pobla reported 28,9 °C on the Balearic Islands and Maspalomas registered 27,4 °C on the Canary Islands. San Pedro Manrique (Soria) measured the most precipitation with 11,0 l/m² of rain.

The Spanish mainland on Friday: At 06:00 am, Madrid reports 16,7 °C, Santander 14,1 °C, Bilbao 13,9 °C, Valencia 18,4 °C, Almeria 17,1 °C, Barcelona 16,2 °C, Alicante 15,8 °C, Sevilla 17,6 °C and Granada 11,3 °C.

Some noteworthy precipitation has already been registered between Navarra and Lleida at breakfast time. Towards the west, it will be less rainy throughout the day. However, it will be rainy in Catalonia all day long. A yellow warning level has been issued. Valencia and Albacete are expecting rain as of noon, even Murcia is expecting some rain in the evening. Thunderstorms have been announced for Albacete as well. Other than that, there will be more sun than clouds in the west. +- 34 °C have been forecasted for some areas in Andalusia today.

According to statistics: Usually, if May is hot and dry in Andalusia, there will be a super summer with numerous heatwaves (+- 40 °C).

Today's peak values amount 17 °C in Barcelona, 25 °C in Madrid, 19 °C in Bilbao, 17 °C in Santander, 25 °C in Alicante, 21 °C in Valencia, 33 °C in Sevilla, 27 °C in Murcia, 21 °C in Girona and 20 °C in Santiago de Compostela.

The Balearic Islands on Friday: Palma de Mallorca reports 16,2 °C at 06:00 am. More clouds than sun today, some rain here and there. The peak temperatures amount 25 °C in Palma de Mallorca, 23 °C in Mao-Mahon and 23 °C in Eivissa.

The Canary Islands on Friday: Tenerife Sur Airport registers 18,3 °C at 05:00 am. Mostly sunny today. A stormy wind will continue to blow at the east and west coast of Gran Canaria and at Tenerife's altitudes, up to 79 km/h are measured. The buoy of Las Palmas reports a maximum wave height of 354 cm this morning. The peak temperatures will reach +- 28 °C today.

Costa del Sol on Friday

At 06:00 am, Malaga (Playa La Malagueta) reports 18,9 °C and an air humidity of 42 %. Malaga's buoy registers a sea temperature of 17,3 °C and the waves are reaching heights of 25 cm.

At 06:00 am, Malaga Airport reports 17,0 °C and the wind is blowing with 8,0 km/h across the runways.

The sun is willing, but there will still be a few clouds here and there today. At noon, the wind will be blowing across the coast as a light breeze. The UV index reads 9 today. Warning: As of midnight, a stormy wind will be blowing across the coast for 3-4 hours. Gusts of 70 km/h have been announced!

+- 28 °C have been forecasted for Marbella, +- 29 °C for Malaga (city), +- 29 °C for Manilva and +- 28 °C for Velez-Malaga. The Caminito del Rey is expecting +- 32 °C today.

Tendency for Malaga for the following days: Mostly sunny at +- 24 °C on Saturday and Sunday. Next week, lots of sun with peak temperatures of 25 to 28 °C.
