Costa del Sol - Stormy wind on its way

Rain in the north, yellow warning level

On yesterday's Wednesday, El Granado (province of Huelva, Andalusia) was the warmest place in Spain with 37,4 °C. Jalance obtained 32,3 °C in the autonomy of Valencia. Llucmajor reported 25,4 °C on the Balearic Islands and San Bartolome registered 31,9 °C on the Canary Islands. Barcarrota (Extremadura) measured the most precipitation with 0,4 l/m² of rain.

The Spanish mainland on Thursday: At 06:00 am, Madrid reports 12,7 °C, Santander 11,6 °C, Bilbao 9,2 °C, Valencia 16,4 °C, Almeria 18,6 °C, Barcelona 11,4 °C, Alicante 17,9 °C, Sevilla 16,9 °C and Granada 12,5 °C.

Still cloudy between Castellon and Valencia at breakfast time. Later, throughout the morning, there will be more sun again. It will be mostly sunny in the south-west of the country today, peak temperatures of +- 35 °C have been announced. It is cloudy at the North Atlantic coast, Galicia will be expecting rain as of noon. The peak temperatures amount 21 °C in Palma de Mallorca, 20 °C in Mao-Mahon and 22 °C in Eivissa. Pollenca might reach +- 26 °C today.

The Canary Islands on Thursday: Tenerife Sur Airport registers 19,6 °C at 05:00 am. There will be a mix of sun and clouds today. The peak temperatures will reach +- 30 °C today.

Costa del Sol on Thursday

At 06:00 am, Malaga (Playa La Malagueta) reports 19,2 °C and an air humidity of 74 %. Malaga's buoy registers a sea temperature of 19,1 °C and the waves are reaching heights of 75 cm.

At 06:00 am, Malaga Airport reports 18,4 °C and the wind is blowing with 15,0 km/h across the runways.

Los Reales reported 18,6 °C, Torrox 17,3 °C and Torremolinos registered 18,8 °C at 06:00 am.

Yesterday, Alora (Caminito del Rey) registered 37 °C in the shade. Today will be more pleasant. It will be sunny at the Costa del Sol today, a few clouds here and there. The wind will pick up speed at midnight and will be sweeping as a stormy wind from NW across the coast on Friday morning. The UV index reads 9 today.

+- 26 °C have been forecasted for Marbella, +- 24 °C for Malaga (city), +- 29 °C for Manilva and +- 28 °C for Velez-Malaga. The Caminito del Rey is expecting +- 28 °C today.
