Andalusia with summerlike temperatures

Storm warning for Northern Spain

On yesterday's Sunday, Valencia (autonomy of Valencia) was the warmest place in Spain with 30,9 °C. Albox registered 29,0 °C in Andalusia. Sant Antoni reported 26,9 °C on the Balearic Islands and La Aldea de San Nicolas obtained 27,9 °C on the Canary Islands. Rois (Galicia) measured the most precipitation with 7,0 l/m² of rain.

The Spanish mainland on Monday: At 06:00 am, Madrid reports 11,4 °C, Santander 14,7 °C, San Sebastian 10,7 °C, Valencia 14,1 °C, Almeria 13,6 °C, Barcelona11,6 °C, Alicante 17,8 °C, Sevilla 13,6 °C and Granada 8,3 °C.

Some rain will start to fall in Galicia at breakfast time and won't stop until tonight. Hail, storm and thunderstorms have been announced for the provinces of Burgos, Cantabria, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa as of noon. However, the situation will calm down at midnight. Other than that, it will be mostly sunny (with only a few clouds) on the mainland. It will be the warmest in Andalusia today, peak temperatures of +- 30 °C have been announced here and there.

Today's peak values amount 15 °C in Barcelona, 26 °C in Madrid, 26 °C in Bilbao, 22 °C in Santander, 23 °C in Alicante, 20 °C in Valencia, 28 °C in Sevilla, 26 °C in Murcia, 19 °C in Girona and 17 °C in Santiago de Compostela.

The Balearic Islands on Monday: Palma de Mallorca reports 10,2 °C at 06:00 am. Mostly sunny today. A few clouds will appear towards the afternoon. The peak temperatures amount 22 °C in Palma de Mallorca, 18 °C in Mao-Mahon and 20 °C in Eivissa.

The Canary Islands on Monday: Tenerife Sur Airport registers 16,2 °C at 05:00 am. A band of clouds will be moving from NW across the islands today. The sun will have its difficulties coming through. A few drops of rain might fall on La Palma. A strong to stormy wind will set in at the east and west coast of Gran Canaria as of noon. The peak temperatures will reach +- 27 °C today.

Costa del Sol on Monday

At 06:00 am, Malaga (Playa La Malagueta) reports 15,3 °C and an air humidity of 77 %. Malaga's buoy registers a sea temperature of 16,3 °C and the waves are reaching heights of 10 cm.

At 06:00 am, Malaga Airport reports 14,6 °C and the wind is blowing with 12,0 km/h across the runways.

Los Reales reported 12,2 °C, Torrox 18,9 °C and Ronda registered 16,0 °C at 06:00 am.

On April 15, 2010, a severe storm took place in Manilva. 124 mm of rain were registered. Today, the Costa del Sol remains dry and it will be warm. At sunrise, it is still slightly misty which should change before noon. The wind will be blowing across the coast as a light to weak breeze this afternoon. The UV index reads 8 (out of 10) today.

+- 24 °C have been forecasted for Marbella, +- 25 °C for Malaga (city), +- 26 °C for Manilva and +- 25 °C for Velez-Malaga. The Caminito del Rey is expecting +- 29 °C.

Tendency for the following days: Once again, it will be sunny and warm on Tuesday. The probability of precipitation amounts 75 % on Wednesday afternoon, 100 % on Thursday, 90 % on Friday and Saturday.
