Velez-Malaga the warmest place in Spain

Wonderful spring weather in large parts of the country

On yesterday's Wednesday, Velez-Malaga (Andalusia) was the warmest place in Spain with 27,0 °C. Elche registered 23,7 °C in the autonomy of Valencia. Formentera reported 19,9 °C on the Balearic Islands and La Aldea de San Nicolas obtained 26,2 °C on the Canary Islands. Roncesvalles (Navarra) measured the most precipitation with 32,8 l/m² of rain.

The Spanish mainland on Thursday: At 06:00 am, Madrid reports 0,7 °C, Santander 9,6 °C, San Sebastian 11,0 °C, Valencia 5,0 °C, Almeria 11,7 °C, Barcelona 7,8 °C, Alicante 9,8 °C, Sevilla 10,6 °C and Granada 2,1 °C.

Partly cloudy in Northern Spain, some rain is still falling in Navarra and Gipuzkoa this morning. The buoy off the coast of A Coruña reports a maximum wave height of 11,64 metres and the waves are crashing onto the beach with heights of 6 metres. An orange warning level will be given until noon, the situation will calm down then. A stormy wind will be blowing between Tarragona and Castellon all day long. Tarifa is expecting a strong wind as well. Other than that, it will be mostly sunny on the mainland with only a few clouds here and there. It will be the warmest in the hinterland of Andalusia today with +- 24 °C.

Today's peak values amount 16 °C in Barcelona, 18 °C in Madrid, 14 °C in Santander, 18 °C in Alicante, 19 °C in Valencia, 24 °C in Sevilla, 23 °C in Murcia and 13 °C in Santiago de Compostela.

The Balearic Islands on Thursday: Palma de Mallorca reports 8,8 °C at 06:00 am. Still cloudy on Mallorca at sunrise. It will be mostly sunny throughout the day. A fresh breeze is blowing on Ibiza. The waves are reaching heights of 360 cm off Menorca. The peak temperatures amount 17 °C in Palma de Mallorca, 16 °C in Mao-Mahon and 17 °C in Eivissa.

The Canary Islands on Thursday: Las Palmas de Gran Canaria registers 17,0 °C at 05:00 am. More sun than clouds today. The amount of clouds will increase towards the evening. In the west of the islands, a fresh breeze will be blowing across the coasts. The peak temperatures will reach +- 25 °C on the Canary Islands.

Costa del Sol on Thursday

At 06:00 am, Malaga (Playa La Malagueta) reports 13,2 °C and an air humidity of 60 %. Malaga's buoy registers a sea temperature of 15,6 °C and the waves are reaching heights of 53 cm.

At 06:00 am, Malaga Airport reports 11,6 °C and the wind is blowing with 11,0 km/h across the runways.

Los Reales reported 5,6 °C, Torrox 13,8 °C and Ronda registered 9,3 °C at 06:00 am.

Sunny again today. The wind will be blowing across the Costa del Sol as a weak breeze today. The UV index reads 5.

+- 20 °C have been forecasted for Marbella, +- 19 °C for Malaga (city), +- 19 °C for Manilva and +- 21 °C for Velez-Malaga. The Caminito del Rey is expecting +- 21 °C.

Tendency for the following days: Sunny at +- 22 °C on Friday and Saturday. You will be able to visit the beach on Sunday with +- 25 °C. There will be a weather change as of Monday, it will be changeable and significantly fresher.
