Torremolinos

Saint John's Eve at the beach of La Carihuela

Summer hasn't even started yet and the summer solstice on June 21 (12:07 pm CET) already introduces the "Christmas time". This means that the days will slowly but surely get shorter as of June 21.

In Torremolinos, Saint John's Eve will be celebrated at the beach of La Carihuela (right in front of the La Zoca restaurant) on June 23.

Saint John's Fire will, of course, be the highlight and the young adults will hopefully jump through the fire again, which supposedly cleans your body and protects from illnesses. The more people jump at the same time, the bigger is the effect apparently.
